The textile was made to cover a box containing an art object. This is indicated by the two "opening slots" found on both sides of the top of the textile. Two handles of the box extend out from there to be carried.
The box and the object were lost. What is left is an Indigo cotton container with a striking design and it is waiting for your imagination to give it a new breath of life to it.
